University Of Hertfordshire: Rankings, Courses, Admissions, Fees and Scholarships The University of Hertfordshire is the predecessor of the Hatfield Technical College. The University was founded in 1948. The Hatfield Technical College was inaugurated by the Duke Of Edinburgh in the year 1952, with both part-time and full-time courses being offered here. The original campus was at Roe Green at Hatfield for particularly training students of aerospace engineering. This is a public university.
