Practice Medicine in India

After the successful completion of the MBBS degree, doctors need to appear for the Medical Council of India (MCI) screening test/ Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE). This examination, if cleared, is followed by a one-year mandatory internship. The sole purpose of this internship is to get the doctor hands-on training and acclimatize with the country protocols.
