The University of Pecs is among the largest universities of Hungary with its roots dating back to 1367. About University Location, Hungary 

The University of Pecs was the oldest university in the city of Hungary, the country is a landlocked country in Central Europe. Programs, Tuition, and Fees at the University of Pecs

Academic Calendar:

The academic year of the study program is divided into two semesters. At the end of each semester, students have some special exam periods, during the process in which they take the oral or written examination. Faculties of the UP may have several various schedules about starting and finishing of the semesters and breaks throughout the academic year. International Student Admissions at Pecs University

Private housing

The actual pricing of the accommodation totally depends on the location and also the sizes of the room. It is not so difficult to find private accommodation in our university cities. For a 2-bedroom flat (two rooms and kitchen) situated in the centre of Hungary, you can pay about 10,000 – 20,000. It can be half as expensive in Pecs and Hungary.

Scholarships for International Students

International students can apply for the following scholarships to help with their costs during their stay at the university:

• Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program:

The scholarship program was started by the Hungarian government to attract top level foreign students. Students at all levels of programs (bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral) can apply. The scholarship exempts students from paying tuition fees, provides a stipend for accommodation, and pays for the health insurance of the successful recipients.

• Bilateral State Scholarships

This scholarship is open to foreign nationals who have graduated from Hungary and want to pursue further higher education in a Hungarian institute.
