The Ivane Javakhishvili State University of Tbilisi was founded in 1918. Also known as Tbilisi State University (TSU), it is the oldest university in the Caucasian region and Georgia. The university of TSU has a total of 7 faculties: Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Humanities are popular faculties with most international students. 

Faculty of Medicine

The faculty of medicine offers undergraduate courses in Dentistry and Medicine.

Medicine – This is an English-taught undergraduate program for 6 years. Awarded degree after completion of the program is MD (Medical Doctor)

Dentistry – The program is an undergraduate degree program that is taught in English for 5 years. Awarded degree after completion of programs is D.M.D (Doctor of Dental Medicine)

Scholarships for international students

When taking the Unified National Examinations, full waivers (100%) can be obtained based on the future student’s result. Other amounts exempted are 70 percent and 50 percent, respectively, based on entrance exam scores. The tuition fees are then reduced by these amounts.
