About Mathematics Studies
Mathematics is an ancient discipline that studies numbers, structures, and change. It draws its origins from early philosophy. Mathematics is commonly used for calculations, measurements, and counting but it is also a complex field and it also involves theories, the development of law, and the discovery of patterns, nicknamed “The queen of sciences”.
The knowledge and skills you acquire will allow finding success in a wide range of fields. Many maths graduates go on to have high-earning and successful careers in computing, accounting, engineering, science, banking, and business after studying at the top universities for mathematics. It is a STEM subject, which employers consider to be a highly desirable subject area when looking for employees.

Career Scope in Mathematics
Students who hold a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics can turn to applied mathematics, statistics, physics, or engineering if they wish to continue their studies. Such a program develops skills such as knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, and strong deductive reasoning. After graduating with a Master’s degree in mathematics, students have the choice to be employed as operational researchers, statisticians, aerospace engineers, accountants, software testers, or teachers.
For a mathematician trained in numerical techniques, modeling applied analysis, and statistics, career opportunities are plentiful. Mathematicians work in such diverse areas as physics, chemistry, business management, statistical analysis, operations research, space technology, economics, medical research, and environmental science. Because of a dire demand for secondary level math educators, prospects are excellent for a well-trained mathematician interested in teaching as well
