Trent offers 128 undergraduate programs which include degrees, specializations, certificates, diplomas. Talking about graduation, there are 12 course-based master’s programs and 14 thesis-based master’s programs. Also, 6 doctoral programs and four graduate diplomas are available for students.
The research emphasis is on interdisciplinary topics involving cooperation between several departments/programs/disciplines/centers/institutions. The university also takes Responsibility for the provision of resources to researchers (infrastructure, staff, space, etc.).
The university offers pathway programs to several programs. Through this, Students who have insufficient entry requirements can complete their respective programs and then apply for the desired course.
Campus and Accommodation
Trent University has two campuses, the Peterborough campus is spread over a green land area of 1,400 acres. It offers a wide range of undergrad, grad, online, and summer courses over science, social science, arts, and professional streams. The campus is built on the riverside of Otonabee River and thus the living is close to nature. The Durham campus in GTA is a more urban planned infrastructure. Both of the campuses have GO buses that run as frequently as 12x per day.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements
- The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (awarded by CISCE) / All India Secondary School Certificate (awarded by CBSE) with Marks Statement (Standard X); and Indian School Certificate (awarded by CISCE)/ All India Senior School Certificate (awarded by CBSE) with Marks Statement (Standard XII) shall be Minimum 70% average.
- For the UAE applicants, Transcripts of marks for grades 10, 11, and 12 (general secondary school) are required. Tawjihiyya (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) in which a mark of at least 80% overall is required.
- English proficiency test results will be required. Students in the CBSE curriculum are exempted from providing the English Language Proficiency test. Also, it is advisable to check the admission chart for program-specific requirements.
- For Bachelor of Business Administration: Commerce stream students in India Senior High School are exempt from having Mathematics as a required course for admission.
- For the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program: the following courses must be present: English, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
- For Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science: the following courses must be present: English, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and one of Physics OR Earth and Space Science.

Graduate Admission Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or/and a recognized bachelor degree or equivalent or recognized masters degree as the case may be, transcripts

- Some courses require a sample writing work of about 20 pages or less like an M.A. in History, Cultural Studies, etc.

Scholarships for international students
Trent International Global Citizen Scholarships and Awards
Awarded to outstanding academic achievers, showing community service and leadership potential who require financial aid. The scholarship partially covers tuition and ancillary fees which includes housing costs with an amount of 1589 to 21454 USD (5843 to 78876 AED).
Trent International Program Tuition Levy Scholarship
This scholarship is funded by Trent University students through an annual levy and is based on high academic achievement. The Scholarship covers international tuition and ancillary fees of approximately 21454 USD/ 78876 AED per academic year which includes housing.
Trent-United World Colleges (UWC) Scholarships
An international student entering Trent University from a UWC college with outstanding academic achievement and leadership potential is eligible for this scholarship. The value of the scholarship is determined upon assessment of financial need and may extend to cover international tuition and ancillary fees of approximately 21454 USD/ 78876 AED per academic year (housing excluded).
Justin Chiu International Scholarships
Established by Justin Chiu, an alumnus. Awarded to international students from Asia who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, community service, leadership potential, and some financial need. Scholarships partially fund the costs of a Trent education in amounts between 2384 USD (8764 AED) and 11919 USD (43820 AED) per academic year.
Western Union
Trent University’s financial partner, Western Union Business Solution through its Western Union Foundation, teamed up with 23 WU Agents to provide scholarships in communities around the world. The WU Scholars Program provides 1987 USD/ 7303 AED scholarships to students pursuing college/university degrees related to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or business/entrepreneurship.

The scholarship amount is 795 USD/2921 AED per year for up to 4 years (total 3178 USD/ 11685 AED).
