New Mexico Military Institute is a military junior college in Roswell in New Mexico that was founded in 1891. It is a public college with a rich history and tradition of educating cadets with a strong and challenging policy that prepares them for a leading future and better character development. New Mexico Military Institute remains the only state-supported co-educational college preparatory high school and junior college in the United States.

New Mexico Military Institute has numerous associate degrees that help you transfer to a four-year university. NMMI has a faculty of 75 full-time staff there to guide the students to enroll in their field of interest. ROTC program 

The ROTC program is a fast track program that helps the students to get into the US army. ROTC is a preparatory training program for students who have completed high school and want to get into the US army. The NMMI campus has a disciplined environment. The campus is built on an area of 64 acres. The college is mid-sized with an enrollment of 1000 students. As is evident from the numbers, the college believes in quality over quantity. 

The area of the campus was donated by a local rancher James J. Hagerman. The campus is built keeping in mind athletic and sports provisions. Military training and athletics are a big part of this college.

The institutions available for the students to practice athletics are Cahoon Armory Building, NMMI ballpark, NMMI football field, Godfrey Athletic Centre, Golf course with 14 holes.
