Tilburg University was established in 1927 as a Roman Catholic Business School. There are 19334 students as of 2020 of which 3711 are international students. Tilburg University offers 71 Bachelors’s and Master’s programs, 48 of which are taught in English.

Tilburg University offers studies in both Dutch and English. In 2019, English was taught in 48 of the 71 programs. Of these programs, 21 are bachelor’s, and 50 of them are master’s degrees. Approximately 120 PhDs are awarded each year at Tilburg University. 

In March 2020, RePEc (Research Papers in Economics)  which is a collaborative effort of hundreds of volunteers in 102 countries ranked the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in the University as the 23rd most prolific research department in the world.  Scholarships offered by Tilburg University for international students

Although the Netherlands is not the most expensive place to study, it is definitely not the cheapest. For students outside Europe finding it difficult to cope financially with all the costs, there are many scholarships on offer. Some of these scholarships are:

Holland Scholarship: 

The Holland Scholarship is a grant of 5335 USD* which is offered to students outside the Netherlands. These students include those residing in either China, Russia, Indonesia, or Vietnam. However, you must have an average performance of at least 80% and be among the top 10% of your class.

Orange Tulip Scholarship (India):

The Orange Tulip Scholarship is a grant offered to students of Indian residency applying for a one-year master’s degree in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, the scholarship deadline for the year 2023-2024 has passed but may be available for the next academic year. The scholarship will pay a tuition fee of 4707 USD* with a partial tuition fee waiver. Students availing of the scholarship must also have an average of 80% in performance and be among the top 10% in their class.

Research Master Scholarship

All non-EU students who are taking a Research Master program can avail this scholarship. This essentially means that you will pay a fee of 2292 USD* per year instead of the non-EEA institutional rate tuition fee of 15752 USD* for the academic year 2022-2023.
