INRTU offers its degree programs in Russian and English. They also provide Russian language classes at the campus, which is mandatory to study at INRTU. Campus and accommodation
Located in the heart of Russia, Irkutsk is a place where every 5th person is a student. A modern city with a population of 700,000 people, the location of the campus gives exposure to Siberian culture, people and nature.
Irkutsk National Research Technical University has the largest campus among Irkutsk universities, with 480,000 square meters. Public transit takes 15 minutes to the city’s historical and business core, 10 minutes to the railway station, and 30 minutes to the airport (bus, tram, trolleybus).
Academic buildings, student dorms and hostels, canteens, student clinics and sanatoriums, stadiums and other sports facilities, and stores, banks, and post offices are all included. The campus’s security service protects students and employees.
INRTU has 17 dorms for students from various cities and international students. The price ranges from 800 to 5000 Rubles a month (USD 9-60)* depending on the dormitory. Each dormitory has a gym, a study room, and a recreation room with a strong student community.
Type 1 Dormitory costs 800 Rubles ($9 USD)*. It provides 30 rooms, each occupied by three students, with two common bathrooms, two lounge areas, and two kitchens.
Type 2 dormitories consist of four living rooms with triple accommodation, one kitchen, and a bathroom. These dormitories cost 1500 Rubles (USD 18)*.
Type 3 dormitories are the costliest at 5000 rubles per month (USD 60)*. They consist of four living rooms with single and double accommodation, one kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen is farewell-furnished and equipped with an electric stove, microwave, and dishes. Bathrooms are convenient with two washers, a washing machine, a shower, and a toilet. The rooms are furnished with single-tier beds, a wardrobe, cabinet furniture, and a refrigerator.

Admission requirements for international students
To be eligible for admission to Irkutsk National Research Technical University (INRTU), students should have a decent academic record and provide all the requisite documents in apostilled format

To enroll in an undergraduate course, students must complete the following steps.

Thus, the cost of attendance for international students enrolled at INRTU will include yearly tuition fee charges, accommodation and dining charges, and one-time expenditures such as application fees, health insurance, etc.

Scholarships for international students
15,000 Government grants for foreign students are given in Russia annually. The GS scholarship will cover up to a 100% tuition fee for the entire education period. Also, if the student needs to improve their knowledge of Russian, the grant covers education at a Foundation program (pre-university course).
In addition, a monthly payment of $15 is provided.
Selections for the scholarships take place in two stages.
