Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC) is a medical education regulatory body of the government of India. MCI approves a medical degree from a particular college abroad as a medical qualification based on their guidelines. Students who studied in the approved medical colleges must appear for the MCI/NMC screening test conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for registering in the State Medical Council.
