Charles University: Second Faculty of Medicine in Prague

The classes for theoretical subjects are held within Motol’s academic departments. Classes also take place in the Na Bulovce Hospital and the Military University Hospital.

Charles University: Third Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen

The Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen was founded in October 1945 as a branch of the Prague Medical Faculty. In 1953, it became an independent faculty of Charles University. The Faculty has educated almost 10,000 doctors in the Czech Republic and abroad. The study program at the faculty uses a curriculum similar to most medical schools in Europe. As the first university faculty in East Bohemia, the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové began its teaching programs on November 25, 1945. The faculty quickly developed with high-quality teaching staff and a functional departmental organization.
