Cost of English-taught MBA Courses in Germany for International Students
MBA programs typically cost a lot of money. However, the cost of an MBA in Germany is less than that of the US and the UK. Both public and private universities in Germany offer MBA programs and the cost varies greatly. Most public universities in Germany do not charge tuition for other programs but this is not the case for MBA programs. The annual cost of an on-campus MBA in Germany can range from 7,920 to 19,500 Euros for public universities and 6,400 to 20,850 Euros for private universities. The cost of an online MBA in Germany ranges from 1,672 to 10,855 Euros. Additionally, scholarship programs like the DAAD and university-specific scholarships can assist students in managing the cost of MBA programs in Germany.
The universities offering an MBA in Germany can be classified as business schools or universities of applied sciences. The following two MBA programs are available in Germany:
- General MBA
- Specialized MBA
General MBA covers subject areas under the umbrella of business management and administration. In contrast, a specialized MBA provides in-depth management training in the specialty of choice. For example, an MBA in Healthcare Management, Supply Chain Management, Sustainable Innovation, etc., comes under specialized MBA programs.
The length of MBA programs is another factor contributing to cost variations. Students have the option of pursuing an MBA either full- or part-time. The cost of part-time MBA courses is usually higher than full-time. Part-time MBA courses also called executive MBA programs are most pursued by experienced executives, managers, or other professionals looking to strengthen their leadership skills. All MBA courses in Germany require students or professionals to possess some professional experience (few universities accept candidates without experience) and English language proficiency. A few private colleges also offer these courses online, however, the majority of MBA programs, both full-time and part-time, are taught on-campus.

Erasmus scholarships
These scholarships are open to students participating in an exchange program. The European Union’s member states provide the funding for these scholarships.
