A dental degree in Europe takes five full years to complete whereas the same degree is of 4 years duration in the US. Students might get confused as to why the difference between the two. Although curriculum-wise both are the same, a US DDS or DMD is a secondary degree. It requires an applicant to have a bachelor’s degree. On the other hand, a European dental degree does not require a bachelor’s degree. Graduates can save up to two years of their educational time and utilize it to pursue dental specializations.
